I can't send email
Posted by Administrator on 24 December 2009 10:48 PM
I am receiving e-mail but cannot send it from my e-mail client. What do I need to do?
Your ISP has probably turned on an e-mail security setting.

This is a common security setting that affects certain e-mail programs and is intended to prevent SPAM from unauthorized users.

The solution is to try to receive e-mail before you send mail.

If this doesn't work I would recommend changing the SMTP (Outgoing mail erver) to the SMTP server of your ISP
This is the only setting that you should need to change.
Leave all other settings the same and both your outgoing mail and incoming mail will work.

The following is the list of mail servers for outgoing (SMTP) mail server setting:

AOL: smtp.mail.aol.com
Bell: smtp10.bellnet.ca
Rogers: smtp.broadband.rogers.com
Telus: mail.telus.net

- NetZero
- Mindspring
- MSN
- Earthlink
- Flashnet
- MediaOne
- AT&T
- Verizon
- Bell Canada
- Cox

Please contact your provider for a workaround.
